Looking to get some information on the lake since it has open, as far as what's being caught and what type of bait. I will probably be fishing it on this weekend. Thanks guy if you can help with anything

Let us know how it goes, I plan to try it out weekend after next.
We stopped by last weekend just to check it out, 12-15 people fishing from the bank, 12-15 trailers in the lot, no report from anyone though.

I had a late uncle who used to get there before daylight to beat the crowd and the sun. He would spider rig suspended fish in the summer and always did good, he would leave before the crowd ever got bad

Is there structure in that lake, or is it just a big dug-out area filled in?

Those will eat real good. A few more trips and you get to know the place.

Nice. That's a start. Did you catch them spider-rigging? I've only been on that lake once. And judging from the depth, which is pretty much uniform, that would be the method I would use to cover a lot of water to try and locate the fish.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I had a friend who fished it last week and caught 16 on jigs under a cork in shallow water near the banks.
