Default Bite is ON!!! at Dardanelle

Crappie are being Caught all over Lake Dardanelle. Barring any weather problems its should be a great camp for fishing. White and Chart tipped with minnows in 3-8 feet of water with 6 feet being the best depth for us. We have noticed the bigger fish are coming on the spider Rig while numbers of smaller fish are coming out of the brush vertical jigging. Bess have some minnows or be tipping with a minnows especially if your gonna spider rig...If you want to target males try vertical jigging the grass on the banks and try for the females in brush 6-10 feet deep vertical jigging. Here is one of the messes me and CrappieGreg caught the last few days Caught spider rigging. Good Luck out there this week and be safe. See you all at Camp it's gonna be a long hard FUN!!! ride. Nice fish! Wish I was gonna get to fish Dardanelle next weekend. BTW that bird is a green heron. It used to be called a green backed heron.
