    Default Alreds...guntersville 4-19-14

My bud Kevin and I took his boat to the alreds area today and ended up w 10 and just as many large mouth. Long lining mainly but caught a few shooting docks. Water temp was 61.
No real color preference. Here's a couple of the larger fish and me chillaxin in the back if the boat. Its fun being in someone else's boat! Ha!Name: uploadfromtaptalk1397954772267.jpg

Scott I'm afraid I truly can't offer a lot of info because for crappie..... we were just hitting spots that looked interesting on navionics. I used to fish bass tourneys a whole lot in that area so for them... I'm familiar but not so much for crappie. Channel edges mainly...or edges made by deeper grass. These fish were in 7-8ft pulling 32nds. The only consistent theme was the minnow tipped chart curly tail and largemouth. EVERY largemouth came on that combo. 3Lbers too! Fishing the lower end of wheeler all the time made it a huge surprise to catch those lm's. Plus my bud doesn't have GPS yet so our speed was variable.

Very nice, I enjoy the occasional trip with no responsibilities in someone else's boat as well.
