Thread: Newbie from North Louisiana!!

Hello from West Monroe Louisiana! I'm Buck and I'm hoping to learn about these fish and in the process hopefully catch a ton! I've been fishing my whole life but not seriously. By that I mean we went to local ponds and lakes but we mostly fished from the shore. I now have an old aluminum boat that I'm restoring and I'll be getting a fish finder soon also. I'm married and have the greatest family any man could ever be blessed with. A beautiful wife, 2 girls ages 2 and 4 and 2 boys ages 10 and 13. The boys love to go with me and I'm hoping to better understand what the heck we're doing out there once we get the boat ready and start using a fish finder. There are soooo many ponds around us here in the neighborhood and around town that it's easy to go fish just about anytime you want. As a matter of fact I'm posting a picture of 2 beauties that I caught recently. These were the only 2 we caught. It felt like these 2 just wandered off into some shallow water by accident. Thats another reason I'm excited about this forum is to understand these fish better. Anyway I have a decent amount of gear and I'm hoping to grab myself an ultra light weight rod and reel in the next week or so. Thanks for having me guys!
