Default Fishing with just a hook and no bait or nothing???

I remember sometime last year when it was close to getting dark, that this guy was coming to start his fishing. He got to talking to this dude that was at the boat dock at Stewarts Creek Boat ramp, and he was saying how he was catching all these catfish late at night.
Well, come to find out that bait he was using was the smallest fish that I've seen being caught. What he was doing was putting plain ole hooks spread out on a small ultra lite pole, it looked like he had 5 or 6 small hooks on the same line.
What I would love to know is how do I somehow use the same settup as this guy, I mean do they even sell hooks to catch fish that's as small or the same size as the palm of your hands? Not including your fingers and thumb just the palm of your hands is how big these fish were to catch catfish lol.
What really got my attention was the way he was catching them with no bait and just plain hooks, no sooner than he would lower it in the water bam he had 5 or 6 small fish at the sametime. Where could I get some hooks like these at?

It sounds like the same small hooks my dad had years ago. I have no idea where he got them nor the size.

It sounds like he was using a "sabiki rig". It's used in saltwater for catching bait. Bass Pro sells them. I'm sure Cabela's does, too.

Sabiki rigs! Look i the saltwater section of the stores or Bass Pro Shop. They are made to catch sardines but work well for small to tiny bream.

I guess the only problem for catching baby bluegills like this would be the size of the hook, idk how small the smallest hook would be for this though lol.

The hooks are small (something like a #14 or #16 fly hook.) You can easily catch small bluegill on them. I have!

Best place to get um is eBay.
When I was a kid we caught blue gill in a pond on plain shiny hooks.
Soon as it hit the water "BAM". We had a ball!
