Thread: Buggs last weekend

They were in the shallows this past weekend. we got 23 over 13in and prob 50 a day or more in bluestone fri and sat. Casting jigs in the main creek pockets is where most of the big ones were. Tried trolling with very little luck. Water temps between 60-65. Just follow the sun on the banks and you will find them. Fished many types and colors of jigs. I bet we caught as many bass as crappie they were everywhere but really small. Did hook probably a 10lb carp which was fun to get to the boat on ultralight. I did keep a few for the table that had already spawned you should have seen the pocket after they were fileted they must have been fat@!!
