If the fish are shallow and in a bunch of new brush due to high water (unusual for this lake), then I may just go down there myself!!! Fishing buck brush on the sides of coves is what I remember most. When they lowered the lake, the buckbrush all died!!! If it's high, thus flooding new buckbrush, then hit every stickup you can find in every cove you can find.
You won't have to go up the lake to do that. Go under the US70 bridge, past Jim Wylie campground on your right, and from there go either left or right, or BOTH....and find coves and buckbrush and feed 'em minners. You'll have to experiment to find the right depth.
