    Default Bm 6 apr

    Arrived 8:30 fished until 2:00

For me it was one of those days of where to start, water temp at the ramp was 57, I eagerly decided to hit the shallows, tried two ole favorites with zero luck... ok plan "B" (Shallow & structure) off to the stumps.... no hits (Also didn't venture very deep)
(Plan C).... back to the winter plan deep water, Picked up 3 near the bottom in 20-30 FOW between 9-10 inches
on Jigs tipped with minnows ( maybe I should have went back to nibbles)
Anyway water temp made it to 62 when I got to the stumps, but was back and forth 59/60 over deeper water when I left.
So no fish for the pan but no smelly animals to ride back with either :-)

    it's cold.. it's raining....it's too windy...
    "fish on!!!"
(What a great day for fishing) lol.

Better luck next time, some days they just don't want to cooperate.

Still better than I did at Sandy River on Sunday. Fish are on the move big time and hard to figure out. They have to show up and eat sometime.

I noticed quite a few boats showing up as I was leaving, could be one of those "late start" lakes ...weird but I have seen it in the past, fish will start hitting later in the day at certain lakes like they're in another time zone ......oh well that fishing

I am not sure why that lake doesnt warm up faster than it does. Even a big lake like Buggs with colder water from higher elevations is over 60 already. It seems BM is slow to warm every year.

I imagine it has to do with thermal structure and the resistance of the lake to mixing and stratification.
