I use one like this. It works well and I can use the magnifier if needed. I think I paid $80 for mine a long time ago. They are cheaper now

I had one like in the bottom pic that kickingback posted. Used it awhile then took the head off and replaced it with a shop light and it works a lot better for throwing the light where you need it. I just purchased a McKenzie light, more than $100 ($150) but it is well worth the money for working on flies plus it has the magnifier with it. This mounts to your vise stem. Peak also makes a light to mount to your vise but not sure of the price.

Took these pics for you so you can see the lights setup in use and how I mounted the shop light if anyone is interested in it. The third pic is with the shop light on (60w bulb) and the forth pic is when the vise light is on. Hope this helps you some.

I have an OTT that I won on Fly Anglers on-line, with the eyes I should get it out and actually use it!! I don't have a dedicated tying space and use a wooden TV tray - when done I have to put everything away!!.

I have one similar to the top one Kiknback posted. They are around 100 in some places but I need the magnifier a lot anymore.

I agree with Fatman - Ottlight - the trick is to watch Michael's Craft Stores sales - and check their website for coupons. I got mine for under $50
