Good first day on Ky lake

Put in at Kenlake and headed down lake. Fished some clear water and got some nice big black crappies. Moved to the muddy water and put some dark colors on and almost got a limit of whites. Fished from 5 to 21ft with mainly jigs but used some minnows too. Not a bad start for this years trip. Fishing with Mr Dux tomorrow if the weather lets me.

How long you in for Chaunc ? I would like to hook up with you some time next week if you are in. Doug says you are a great guy and one heck of a fisherman. My kind of folks. Maybe we can meet and eat with Doug and some fishing buddies. I will be at the lake house Sat. pm.

If he was only going to be in town for a few days, we would chance it today. Since he's going to be in town for a while, we let discretion over-rule and decided the rain and 25 mph winds don't make for a great day on KY Lake.

The crappie can swim for another day.

BTW, my phone rang Sunday while quackrstackr and I were licking our wounds from the beating the wind and crappie had laid on us. It was Chaunc and he had to tell me about the great day he had. Any idea how that makes a local feel when a friend drives 12+ hours to come down and show up a couple of locals? This dog will have his day.

Thanks fellas. If we'd have gone out this morning, we'd have needed NOAH's ark. All you guys on the way from ohio, be careful. Some nasty weather you'll have to come thru. Hey Monark, hope to see you down at the marina for lunch one day when you get here. You too Ifish. Here's the pic.
