Great report hope the cool weather moving in doesn't move the fish off the bed's.

I started in Beaverdam Creek this morning around 6:30AM. I tried laydowns, open water, single pole, spider rigging and every color. By 9:30 I only had one Crappie. Water temperature had dropped off to 58 degrees and was very muddy. I decided to jump over to Limestone Creek and things were still slow with water around 63. I finally found some bedding fish in four feet of water just before lunch. I’m not sure why they were so deep, but once I found them the action was fast and furious. Best bait ended up being my old standby, a 1/16oz white Marabou jig. I ended up spider rigging with 6 poles in four to five feet of water. Jigs were three to four feet deep with the fish on the bottom. I kept a limit and tossed back more than I could count. There were four flat bottom boats and four other kayaks in Limestone Creek today. Time to find a new fishing spot.
I got to see something new today, the water was very clear except where I was catching the Crappie and several had bloody tails. I think the males were fanning out their beds and that was what muddied up the water.
Photo’s tomorrow, when I clean them, I’m leaving them on ice for the night.
Great report hope the cool weather moving in doesn't move the fish off the bed's.
