Yes he would and having a dam good laugh out of it, I go up to the local old gas station a lot in the early morning here in Windsor, and this one older guy named Billy is always asking me to bring him some crappie, well usually like mid summer I will tell him I would but my livewells are froze up, I always have an excuse, well he owns one of the best strip pits around here, has he ever offered to let me fish it...... NO... which I wouldn't anyway but he could offer, I have even built him a nice pvc tree to hang on his dock, well he is always talking about using the barometer to fish by, bull crap go when you can and don't worry about it, so was telling him about my other brother n law that passed away always used a pop bottle with a ballon on it and when it was up he would go, man he jumped on this like a fly on you know what,so I fixed him up one and we just leave it up at the station, boy every morning it is down, but I can and will take a small red straw like in a can of air and slip it under the edge of the ballon and puff it up a bit, I hope to have him going crazy by the end of the summer, in fact might just puff it up a little tomorrow.......I guess if there is a moral to this story it is: Don't mess with Olesilverside........
