    Default Wire Keepers

Just got my jig head mold with the wire keeper. Poured one and was highly impressed with how well it held the grub body on. What are other opions of the wire keepers and is there any draw backs to using these?

I made a little jig to bend staples to fit my mold, that 7 cents each is a rip off. I bought 20,000 1/2x1/8 staples, made the jig, put a strip ~50 staples at a time in the jig, tap, tap, tap with a small hammer and leg is bent to the ~30 degrees required. Straighten the other leg in a small bench vise. Then a quick blast with a torch to remove glue from staples. Takes about 25 minutes to make 1000 keepers.
