Default If only I had worn my rainbow-colored lucky shirt......

......maybe I'd have caught some big ol' crappie like my neighbor's daughter!
We caught about 20, and my friend caught both of the only slabs. If my name was Will Robinson and Robby the Robot would have been in the boat, that robot would have blown a fuse from saying "DANGER Will Robinson" every time my buddies daughter made a back-cast with the bait dangling about 2 feet from the rod-tip. But I arrived home with no hooks sunk deeper than barb-depth.. She actually was loads of fun, and learned really quickly how to throw a spinning reel, but it was best to have eyes in the back of your head for a while! Another fun after-work trip. My own kids were at soccer practice with their mom. My daughter, Katy, was totally jealous when I showed her the pics of her friend catching fish in the back of my boat. Needless to say, she asked if I was going tomorrow..... Heh, Heh, I've got the hook set deep on that ol' girl!
It appears there are 2 new long-haired future crappie addicts in 2-days. My dad says it looks like his seat in my boat may be in jeopardy.
Lots of fun----looks like everyone is catching judging by the pics lately!
Hope you guys are having fun,

Bayoumonster, if you mention that the shirt is so effective that it will soon be banned from all tournaments and most lakes, you will then see a lake full of those shirts.
It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

Very nice. I love to see those kids do well.

Nice! I saw your pm about after work trips, but my work won't let me go early enough! :*(

I'll have to keep my eye on weekends and hope for good weather and hall passes. Glad you're getting to enjoy the catchin, and even better that you're getting so many kids out there at the right time. Teachin' them right!

I cannot wait until my grandson is old enough to take fishing like that. I do enjoy having a friend and his boys up but he just left for three weeks so it will be awhile before they can join me again. Looks like you are gonna need a barge to take everyone fishing at once.
