    Default Santee Cooper 3/31/14

Well fished Monday planned. Started out spider rigging in 15 foot of water 4 rods all set at different lengths down with double hooks. Started marking fish from the start. But getting them to hit was a different story. Guess I need longer rods theses 10 footers will not cut it for this spider rigging thing. Water temp 58 63 when I left the lake. Did boat a few fish guess it's like this night fishing thing last year have to try until I find something that works for me. Sorry about the pics sending this from my phone. Happy fishing to all

Congrats Bean, the longer rods will get you more bites, but it will take some practice getting those fish in the boat when their dangling at the end of your 14 foot pole, when your net handle is only 4 foot. lol

Those are pretty fish. They just seem to have such good color coming out of the "swamp" as we call Santee, especially Marion.
