Hope things go well if the surgery is done. Fishing may be ok, but you may need to round up a youngun somewhere to pull on the boat, and net the great bigguns.

Had to make a trip to the doctor to have a MRI read on my knee. Doc tells me I have lost 50% of the cartilage in my knees and have a tear I'm miniscus (sp?). Only way to fix the tear is surgery. Also found fluid leaking out of the knee that is forming a cyst.
Surgery will require 4-6 weeks off work
Good news was I'll be able to fish after 2 days!!
I may get an extended stay at camp.

Loading the boat will not be a problem. Getting out of the silly thing might be, but I'll throw a step ladder in there and get out. I've had this done to my right knee back in 1987. Got 8 weeks of fishing then due to the damage to the knee cap. I was a little younger then, but I think I'll be able to manage.
As far as netting those big ones, I may just fish Poinsett so I don't need a net!![]()
I'll help, I'll help
Hey bud they doing ya laparoscopically? Hope all goes well.

Had a shoulder done in 2012. Best thing I did, but it ruined fishing for 3 months!

Good luck with the surgery. Hope it doesn't slow down your fishing too much.
Is winter over yet?
It will be a scope when they do it. They are trying other options as of right now. I'm sure I will have to do it before it's over due to the tear.
No big deal. I've had the right knee done. That was a long time ago and I'm sure it's not as tough now. I'm not scared of the scope.
I did find out that since it is the tear and a cyst removal (which must not be that bad of a repair) I should only be out of work for 2 weeks. I can swing that.
Yup that's what I was thinking.
