    Default Sugar Creek 4/1/14

We caught 20 crappie today along with 6 blue cats and a hybrid. The bite was slower than on Monday and we caught fish upstream and downstream from the bridge.

The average size was a little smaller than the fish we caught the last two weeks. We culled one fish less than 10 inches and I would say the average was about 11 inches. There were a couple of 13 inch plus fish and one 14 inch fish. We were pushing jigs. Everyone else was long lining. I think in the future we are going to experiment with long lining. When everyone else is long lining, the GBI would call that a clue. Yesterday we were in my partners boat not sure of the make but it is a dark color and has a 115 hp Johnson on the back. This is him holding the hybrid he caught. QuackHead90 I don't remember seeing a black Alumacraft but give us a shout next time. We're just a couple of old dried up ex-paratroopers trying to catch supper. Airborne!
