The only problem I have with Cossar is that its so old the camper pads are short, broken up, uneven and surrounded by trees making it difficult to have a camper, boat and two tow vehicles on the same site. Also can be difficult to find minnows if your into that sort of thing. Cossar is the least maintained of all the campgrounds we visit. Persimmon Hill campground is new with flat concrete pads and modern facilities.

The shell service station at the interstate now has minnows and a small bait shop.

Not that a dang yanks opinion is worth much, but I think Feesh has something here. Having organized a few much smaller events up here AND been to a couple of yours, the planning takes a bit of effort. Both times down there we had no problems driving 30 minutes to fish new water. Cossar is a great location too. Just sayin.

This all sounds like a good idea. I'll still have my camper at Grenada where I had it this time and just drive up to visit. I get a 50% discount with my disability at COE parks plus that was a very nice campground with big level sites. What does the COE have at Enid? I haven't checked.

I don't remember the name. But they have a new one on the north side just as nice as Grenada.

Scott, Persimmon Hill is a COE campground and are really nice pads. It's just across Bean Creek from the State Park cabins.

All of the COE campgrounds at Enid have been re-done and have new pads

If Enid is gonna be the Fall Camp site, then where should the Spring site be?
