    Default Made some rod holders!

Getting set up to put out up to 16 poles 8 in the front & 8 in the back. Plan on doing some pushing & long lining. Any suggestions on pole lengths!

Does 18 work ok for you. Been thinking about it, but seems kind of long. I use three rods each side 12' 8' and 5'. Keep thinking about going to four poles but keep thinking it's just two much for long lining, especially when you hook a striper or something. Catch enough with three on each side so havnt done it yet

I was thinking when long lining 4 off each side in the back & 2 straight off the back when pushing 8 in the front & 2 off each side in the back.

You ain't lived until you've fished sixteen poles in a brushy lake on a windy day.

AMEN!!! But I don't own 16 poles, but I have done that with the 8 I used to own, before I had to throw them in the trash due to 3 of them snapping at the same time, on the same brush-top.

My nerves can't take more than two off of each side for a total of 4. I like 12' and 10'. I have been thinking about rigging a couple for the back for company though. You might spider with 18; but, longlining 18 would be a lot of work. DP
