Having fished for a long time, (I remember fishing in the early 60s with a plastic worm rigged TX style when no one else even fished with a worm), I just see the pressure ratcheting up even more than it already is, with every Tom, Dick and Harry within 1000 miles wanting to fish Grenada these days, looking for that 3 - 3.5 pounder to put on the wall and post on the internet. There must be a reason that MDWFP set the creel limit at the Big 4 to 20 rather than 30, could it be from all the pressure? Sardis used to be "the" place to bass fish, then word got out and it was traffic jam from Memphis and Jackson to get there. Nowadays, I expect you'd be hard pressed to catch a decent mess of bass on Sardis. I don't really have a dog in the hunt as I don't fish northwest MS anymore, just my uneducated opinion.
Sardis has possibly been the hottest lake in the country the past 18 months and Enid has been nothing short of great itself. Grenada just broke the single day weight record 5 times i believe and 18 people weighed in more than the previous 2 day record for a tournament. Obviously something good has been going on with these 3 and hopefully Butla will rebound shortly in the very near future as with all the new cover in the lake and an awesome spawn last year it should help tremendously. Of course Sardis and maybe Enid will probably be in a down cycle by then and everybody will say the internet and such have led to the demise of those lakes when in all reality mother nature is the one who always has and always will be the biggest factor in play.
