Launched at daylight...wasted 1 1/2 hours trying an old spot....water too black.....very pleasant morning....no wind....temp pleasant....moved to another likely spot....water good color.....water temp 65 deg....got 2 real quick....18" deep on shiners......both 12"......looked up and saw rain coming.....put on raingear and kept fishing.....rain started, wind shifted and increased bad, temp dropped, other boats with guys in short pants and tee shirts started running to the launch.....kept fishing.....it got colder but I was dressed for it.....that coffee sure was good today.....worked hard fishing unknown waters till around 3......just about of shiners so I quit.....wound up with 8....no throw back sacs.....most of these were 12" or slightly less...threw back 5 gar....feel good about finding new waters to fish.....
just re-measured while cleaning......2 went 13"......

nice catch Mr. Bruce, glad to see you catch a few!
"So many places to fish so little time to fish them!"
That makes good bedtime reading. Glad to see you starting to catching Henderson again.
I am glad you figured them out and caught a good mess of fish.
