    Default Kayak Trip Report, Rockhouse

I fished the Rockhouse dewatering area after work today from 5:00PM till about 7:00PM. Found lots of Black Crappie on beds in 18 inches of water. Kept half a limit, best bait was still the 1/16oz, white, marabou jig. Water surface temperature was 64 degrees at 6:00PM.

No secret, this is a shallow back water. A couple of sunny days with mild nights and the water is in the low 60's. Next week with the hard freeze and the water will drop back to the 40's and you'll stay in the 50's. I simple fish where others aren't and adjust based on conditions.
