    Default Hit gaston today

Carried a friend to the lake today,we had fish till 2:30 and only one crappie, he had caught it and it weight 2 lb,well I told him I was saving the best spot till last, the sun had been on the bank for a while now and the wind was blowing on that bank so we took off for it,as I started back there he said he had been back there before and it was too shallow,I kept going and drop TM in water less than 3 feet and cast to water shallow than that. We caught fish from 1 to3 feet deep, all fish were from 12 to 16/12 inches which I threw back the big one,all on jigs reeling fast that is ,to my standard, white was the best.On the way in we hit a place near the ramp that had rocks on bank to keep water from washing away bank,I stop there and cast to rocks and let drop and we caught 5 more before going in.these are a pic of some of the fish without the big one I threw back. Well he took my phone and took 2 pic of my big fish he said ,well you see it as much as I see it, here are some pic of some we kept for himName: image.jpg

Great report Gene. Allot better than we did. We caught 1 crappie and about a dozen pickerel at Beaverdam. Did talk to a couple of boats at the landing and they said they did real well in super shallow water, they must have found an area similar to what you described above, Vic looks like I owe you the soda. Glad somebody got some fish. And a citation, nice. I got pretty well skunked this weekend.
