Default A tough day on Norman.... 3-20-14

Me and son fished Norman today, 8:30 till 5 pm, it was windy, very slow, we never really found them, just one here and one there. We stayed on the go all day , looking for them. My son caught the big fish , a 14 incher....

We hadn't been fishing in 5 weeks, thought we better go look for them, Couldn't count on any one else to call me to eat some fish, so I kept 25 good fish, now I'll just cook my own. We ended up catching 50 crappie, very slow!

Be prepared to goof off a little while at first, I got to shake knappy first thing. After that , we're good to go.

You better start shaking now! I have some specialized tracking chips that i will be placing on your boat to monitor your movements for sure. I cant believe you went fishing yesterday. Red told me the lake was off limits till after the BIG tournament Saturday. I hope you dont get disqualified for fishing on Thursday!

I hit LKN this AM. I had some bites early, but nothing would come up. I was marking the fish 20ft down, water temps were 48-51 deg. Very cold still. I switched to bass fishing and brought a few in. Talked to a couple guys at the ramp, they said it was very slow as well.

Probably wont fish the social , but plan on making it to the get together, fished 3 hours today when I finally found the fish it was time to go. big fish 14 1/2 in , caught them on minnows no jig bites wt 48- 51 where I was fishing and fish were in the 17 to 20 ft range , only reason im not fishing is all the traffic on the water today , will make some ruff fishing in my little tin can with the pleasure boaters and jet skies on the water, I think im gonna hit a few stores tomorrow and see if I can get a few more donors for some gifts to pass out . We'll see how that works out. Good Luck to yall tomorrow and be safe.
