    Default Trolling

Say I'm trolling along with my iPilotLink at .8 mph, suddenly I'm hung. Can I use SpotLock to slow and stop the boat until I can get my hangup loose?

Yes, you can, but I don't think you'll like the results. Once you hit the spot lock, you don't have any control on how it gets back to the GPS location. It may go left when you need it to go right and vice versa. Also, at .8 it's probably going to take you a good ways past your locked spot before it catches up and re-directs you.

If you are pulling a bunch of jigs, you will get a nasty tangle as the boat will turn around and go back to the spot.

Yep, I've found the best thing to do is grab the rod, hit rabbit and let it break free or break. Easier than cleaning up a big mess with all your rods

I spin the motor 180, and hit rabbit mometarily to stop forward motion. Once I get the other rods under control I'll motor back and try to release the hang up.

Ditto on the LiteWire Jigs.I'm new at long lining for crappie but have leaned you don't stop or pause in a stump field pulling several lines.

What size hooks do you like with the LiteWire?
Trump is like the guy that comes on the playground and beats up on the guys that's been pushing you around for the last 30 or 40 years.
