It's a day that I don't wish on anyone . My best friend and fishing buddy Midas lost his battle with cancer . We have been taking him to the vet for some time now and trying different medicines but this morning he was suffering so much we had to put him down . It was one of the hardest things we ever had to do . I have a lot of good memories of him . I would get my boat out of the garage or have my fishing poles in my hands and he would be in my truck and waiting on me . Many of you might have seen us on the water or walking the banks . He loved to get into the water and swim no matter how cold it was . When he was a puppy and on one of his first trips to Shelbyville he got a jig stuck in his paw . He yelp and cried but he let me pull it out of his paw but that didn't stop him from going fishing . I just want to thanks Midas for many years of companionship and you will be missed
    Excellent

Hard thing to do.. putting down your dog. Had to do that ourselves for the same reason. We picked up a French bulldog about a month before that time (just had a feeling) and he has been great in "replacing" that part in our lives. So do yourself a favor and extend that love for him to another pup.. there is one out there that would love to share a life with you.

One of the toughest things to do. When I went to take my dog to the vet for the same thing, it wouldn't stop licking my neck. Seem like it was telling me it was all right. I understand.

Sorry buddy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
