Default 20mph wind and a bass tourney oh boy

Well I got on the lake about 10am after searching for a ramp that had a parking spot. Found out quick that this was going to be a ruff day every boathouse I came to had a bass boat on it pitching brush hawgs worms lizzards. Well I finally come up on a couple that was free anchored down and started shooting and bam the thump was on! I had 10 quick but then the wind picked up and the waves from what I found out was a 209 boat bass tourney turned my day upside down. My anchors would not hold I just couldn't stay in front of the doors by 12pm I give up with 15 keepers. I did manage the second biggest crappie I have ever caught 17 inch 3lbs 2ozs so I am thankful for that sow she was about to pop

That thing looks like it could've eaten a baseball. It's nice to see toughing it out paid off for you... Easier to brag that way. If that thing is number 2 then what kind of inches/weight beat it?

Yes Sir I was around the Preston island area and to the question of what beat that one was 19 inches 3lb 15 ozs caught 6 years ago in the Honeycomb area to bad I got it in October at night on a minnow with no eggs or it may have been close to the record but who knows they are both still swimming in a local pond
