    Default Sonar coverage of 16°, 28°, 45°, & 75° @ -10dB

I just purchased the Humminbird 859ci Hd Di Combo and it comes with the Sonar frequencies of 455/800/200/455 kHz with Sonar coverage of 16°, 28°, 45°, & 75° @ -10dB

I notice a lot of the other fish finders come with 200/83 khz at 20° & 60°.

    What's the Difference?

Here is the beams for the HB DI units...(this is for the stock XNT 9 DI T xducer that comes with the HB DI units)...

The beams for the optional XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T would have 83kHz/200kHz 2d and 455kHz/800kHz DI...(I don't have a complete depiction of all 4 beams together for the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ... the depiction below shows the shapes of the 83kHz/200kHz 2d - the DI beams would be the same as in the 1st depiction above...)

Basically the 83kHz/200kHz 2d has wider coverage 2d beams...(the DI beams are the same in both xducers)...

The optional XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T only works with the larger 800/900/1100 series DI units as these units have an extra "Transducer Select" menu choice for 83kHz/200kHz/455kHz/800kHz...

Did you know the -10dB (decibels) equates to -.01 hB (hectobels)? Yep.

I've never heard of a hectobel. (my spell checker hasn't either) Is that obscene?
