Thanks for replies!! When I started this crappie fishing!!! I was and still am a bassfishermen/wanttobe crappie fishermen!! (smallmouth bass still my fav) love to catch and release!! Our home lake/rivers(white,black,little red) is full of kentucky bass!! Some of the best eating fish to us!! The largemouth not as many but grow large(10lber) just another fish has to be a 12-13 lb to be Noticed!! We release to catch again!! The Walleye is at the top of the list keep one to eat and release the rest(D-10 and GFC) work hard to make the Walleye fishing some of the best in the World!! My Grandfathers fished to put food on the table (crappie, bream, catfish) and was good at it!! Am getting closer to retirement and trying to relocate the areas they(grandfathers) fished and I fished as a kid. Would like to Retire if possible!! Have grown up fishing the white river and its low water lakes and creeks. When Greers gets crowded thats where we go unlimited fishery hard to reach and lots of fishing!! Went to the Nimrod Fall crappie camp to learn from the crappie folks I had been reading about(Nimrod,CrappiePro,Creekslick, midsouth man ),RCC and others know I left someone out.Taking what I had read and apply to my home waters.Had to adjust(Deep water) (smallmouth holes). The Crappie.com fall crappie camp gave me the knowledge I needed (brush piles(work at crappie fishing),jigpoles(ozark) the jig and float(great spring tech)(crappiePro) and jig tying Meatgetter, BillyE,Grizzly jig (Louie/Mr crappie),Bowhunter/lil-bit gave me some great pointers we still use today!!MacDaddy took me to Grenada to show me what crappie fishing(best in the country)(WOW) was really about and really lite the fire to learn as many tech to catch crappie. I only want to compete against the fish (crappie) not other fishermen!! Thanks to all.I post these pic's not to brag but to show the Progress we have made!! Thanks again to all!! I have truly been blessed!! One Thing I have learned(bassfishermen) (RCC)(respecting others) its not just about catching fish but enjoying the outdoors and sharing it with others!! Thanks Again!! Hopefully see ya on the water or at Crappie camp!! Jack!!!

Great string of posts Jackie. I don't believe there is anyone that has taken the information that they have picked up here and there and made use of it like you have. It is one thing to do it on small water, but when you get to a lake the size of Greers which complicates things so much more, not just everyone can do what you are doing. I know I'm sure proud to see those nice stringers you've been dragging out of there and the payoff to some hard work sure couldn't happen to a nicer person. I know Creekslick is the "Crappie Whisperer", but you should be Rookie of the Year or something

Randall those rivers in north and northeast Arkansas do have Walleyes. Try them out in Spring, Black , and Current rivers just to name a few from what I've read.

I had heard as much. I figure a person needs to go to where the water gets colder, but I really don't know and haven't got enough fire lit under me yet to go figure it out. One of these days...
