I fished out of the Talladega Creek boat launch on Lay Lake monday from about 12pm til 7. Ended up with only 3 slabs, a few white bass, and a baby catfish. Crappie were holding about 5 ft down and were scattered. I marked a bunch of fish around a tree, and got several bites, but managed only to bring one fish to the boat there. Then i fished around the bridge pilings there and caught a couple more, on different sides of the creek. Never could catch fish stacked up in any one location. Caught that big white bass on an ultralight rod though, that was a fun fight. Water temp was an average of 58 degrees. Fish seemed to turn on somewhat the closer it got to dark.![]()
