Does no one fish these lakes or are we being a little tight lipped?

Take a look at all the past posts and that will be the best way to answer that question. I dont believe guys are being tightlipped. Marburg isn't a popular lake on this board so there's definetely a shortage of reports. If you or when you fish it, we'd all like to read your reports. It may stir up more interest in here.

There are way more members on the western half of the state that post, then the other half. We all know that there are lurkers too, who only read posts, to get info, but don't hardly ever post. True but sad. When you do post, be careful of what info you give, and if pictures, that they don't show much of the surroundings around you. Wish I could help you out.

Thanks for the reply's. Yes I understand spot burning. I ice fish Marburg but not alot of open water fishing there. I have seen some big crappie from both lakes but have very little info and these are too big to just fish and hope to find a good area and at what time of year.If things work out I will post a report.

I have never personally fished them, but here is a link to a map that I think would be a good place to start. It shows the placement of some structure and even gives gps coordinates for some. I am not a professional angler, but I would check out the shallow structure first. If no action there move out and try deeper structure. If you have no luck there, then pack up, go home, call chaunc, and see if you can go fishing with him. He will put you on some fish.

I got a tip Black Rock had a good Crappie bite at Marburg. Terry (friend) and myself checked it out this morning. Sorry no fish and no fishermen. ??? We went to the back water of Redman and caught 10 plus pan fish. There were a half dozen other fishermen catching a few small fish. Also one 1 1/2 lb largemouth caught. At least we did not get skunked.
