    Their wrapping fin is somewhat like our bowfin in these parts... and yes, they too pull like crazy and are a blast to catch.

    yup they are a really fun fish to catch for sure last night was my biggest to hit the ice it was 35" and wow what a fight. they are considered a trash fish in a few lakes we have around here they are catch and kill and you can give them away or pitchem if you don't want them they are eating up all our smallmouth bass and trout.

    When I first got to Vermont - fishing one of the Fish and Wildlife ponds caught a bullhead and a couple of older gents said nice eelpout!!! They also got a little ticked as they were'nt catching any big ones and my son and I were using Sonnys Super sticky channel stink bait.
