    Default A few coyote ties


    A buddy of mind gave me a coyote tail so I went to Walmart and got some Rit liquid dye sunshine Orange this is what I came up with.

    Nice looking jigs there. Never tied with it, but I would think it's similar to fox in how it moves in the water.

    I saw a coyote dead on the road yesterday. If it had been off to the side I would have been tempted to stop and cut the tail off. Too bad it was right in the middle of I-84. The 75 MPH speed limit and heavy traffic made me think twice. That's coyotes for you. They can get the better of you even when they're squished.

    I threaded someone a few years back for some coyote and it does look like a good hair to tie on a jig or fly. Nice job!
