    Default Eufaula 8 March 2014

Talquin Maggie's son and I made a trip to Lake Eufaula on the GA/AL line today. The bite was pretty good early this morning and slowed down as the day went. We fished in water from 17-30 feet deep and pulled Black/Blue/Chartreuse and Wildcat jigs and caught some good fish. Fished along side of Jabbo and his son most of the day. It was a great day on the water!!!

Those 2 were caught back to back and weighed 2 lbs 7 oz and 2 lbs 2 oz. We have about 5 more that I believe would be pushing 2 lbs but my scales quit working.

We left West Point early Saturday to go to Eufaula and fight the bas boats. Wasn't bad at all. Water temperature we saw were 51 to 56. Water was clearer than I like but managed some good fish in the creek mouths over deep structure. All caught on reds and greens Taser Jigs 1/16 #2 hooks pushed with 3/8 weight catching most at 10 foot. A lot of the fish swam along without pulling down. You would see the rod tip twitch and line would move off to the side.
