Welcome to the board. I see your home like is Dardanelle. You should be telling us what color jig works there. Get you a pocket full of spankies and leave the rest at home. It is #129, get some 1/16th and 1/8th. You will not need a catalog, he will take your order by PM.

    Good luck

By the way probably 150 of those views were lurkers and can't post. 40 more of those views were people from other states that don't even know where Dardanelle is. 8 of those views have only been to Dardanelle a couple times so don't really know what jig is the best there. The remaining 2 fish Dardanelle all time, but only use minners.

I grew up fishing for crappie very shallow with miners under a bobber..... Just the way mama & daddy taught me....
We moved to AR when I was 12, lived on the shores of Dardanelle & had a little plastic boat..... I fished about everyday in the spring & summer.....

I've caught a ton of crappie tight lining, trolling & shallow.... But 99% of them on a minnow.....

I fall in RCC's catagory of not fishing there much but don't mind sharing what little I learned. In the clearer water that I found, yellow seemed to trigger the bite. In dingy water, chartruese did the trick. I use Mid south tubes with 1/8th oz. homemade minnow style heads.

As far as where the brush top is, downstream and across the river from the nuclear plant, line yourself up with the cooling tower and the big leaning oak up on the bank...........

My choice is Spanky or any big tube jig dark color with charteruse. Them purple , black, or green metal flake with charteruse Southern Pro Umbrellas on a 1/8 oz head can be a killer on them brushpiles.
