Default Best place for installing electronics in Central Arkansas

I pulled the whole Lowrance HDS 7" and transducers out on my work bench and put the boat in the garage. Then I got to looking at the whole thing and I don't know if I'm ready to go drilling holes in my floating buddy on my own.

So I'm thinking about dropping it off and having someone else install it. Has anyone let anyone else do that kind of work on their boat in the central Arkansas area?

What kind of boat? Just go for it. If you drill in the wrong place, aluminum can be welded, glass can be epoxied, wood can be glued, so you will be OK. I think Crappie Pro had some work done by people who do that. I'll try to find that post and see who it was.

It's a 17' aluminum Xpress. The other thought is I don't have a ton of free time to fix it if I don't get it right the first time and then need welding done.

I have helped install several of them on some of the members boats, especially the aluminum ones. If I can be of any help, just let me know.

You guys are great for offering your help. I wish I had seen it last night. The wife has been out of town so I spent most of the day cleaning up so I can win some extra points and go fishing without question later.

If you decide to do it yourself, take a look at this. This is my installation with 2 units networked and no holes drilled except for the home built front mount, and the hole for it was drilled from the back side. This could give you some ideas on what you would like to do even if you don't do it yourself.
