    Default Darbonne 3/8

Took Mrs. 20watt this am to darbonne for some catching.

Tryin to launch today was crazy it was as bad as launching at poverty point in its hay day.

They definitely need a larger ramp and more parking for safety reasons and also if they want to be taken serious about hosting big events. Having said all that we still caught a good mess if fish.

It took Mrs. 20 a while to warm up but she did end up catching several fish. We left them bitting at 10am with 33 fish...

That is Great - Jimmy. We fished from 9 - 12 from Forks Ferry, could not get to Hwy 33 bridge, to Hwy 2 bridge. We had to leave fishing partner got a call, we finished with 11. Today was the worst day I have seen for launching a boat on Hwy 33, we ended up going to Hwy 2 and I still had a quarter mile walk back to boat ramp. Jimmy did you put in at Jakes?

We launched on the old road across from jakes. At 6 am jakes parking lot was full and there was a line to the road waiting to put in. On the other side we had to wait in line at least 20 minutes to get in

I put in at the State Park this afternoon (crowded but not crazy) and fished about 3 hrs. at the mouth of Corney. Caught a dozen really nice ones fishing about 14 ft. deep in the channel. No one particular jig did best.
