Old man in a blue jumpsuit stikes again.

Ran across the old man in a blue jump suit again. He was wearing the short sleeved one, so that means the spawn will not be long. I asked how he'd been and he said he had been holding close to home with the ice on so had decided to tie some jigs like he had seen others do. He said, "I don't need them cause I catch all I want with a minner and there really ain't no need of cluttering up your tackle back with such nonsense, so you can have them". He also threw in a package of hooks "just so maybe even you can catch a fish".

I asked if he had caught any fish and he said "a few" and told me to look in his cooler. So I had to ask how he caught them. He said minner under a float 18 inches deep by a culvert coming out of a field draining ice run off. I asked where and that's when he gunned the ole 76 Ford, long wheel base, 2wd, that he had bought new in 76, and threw mud everywhere. I need to GPS that ole codgers truck.

If he had a Gun rack in the back Window with a shotgun in it might not want to follow!!LOL!! Then again the price of shells might be worth a chance!!!

Reminds me of the time at the Clay county detention center. It was winter 1999 and they had me takin a look to make sure the 911 system was gonna run when the date rolled to 2000. They had a buncha inmates doing laundry and they had all those orange jump suits stacked up every where. Dude, I couldn't resist. I leaned in the door and hollered "you boys planning on doing a lot of deer hunting?" They didn't even laugh at my humor

You must know that ole man in the blue jump suit too. Only thing, over the years I've ran across several of those ole men, and they were all packing and all had plenty of bullets.

That is a badge of honor not worthy to be worn by just the occasional fisherman. I ain't there yet, but I'm working on it. Kent, you put that on and fish a pro tournament. When the competitors see you coming the boats will part and just fall in behind you to see what you're doing. In a good clear lake where the fish can see up in the boat, most fish will just surrender and float to the top when they see the blue jump suit coming.
