Those eyes are just fine I would not want them any smaller. I like big eyes.

Look good to me. I wouldn't want them any smaller on that size jig.

They look fine. In my honest opinion, eyes on jigs are mainly for the fisherman and jig looks. I have caught just as many crappie on non eye heads as I have on ones with eyes. It does make the jig look better in MHO too though but I can do without them if need be.

On a similar question. I also have some eyes for my jigs. What is the best way to put them on and have them stay in place?

On a round head I flatten the area with needle nose pliers. I use an exacto blade to lift the eye then lay it on the jig head .
Then slide it off in place.

They look great to me too. IMHO 3mm would be too small on 1/8th ounce.

Eyes don't stay to well with just the glue on the back. I've heard epoxy is the best method, but a pain to use. I use superglue gel. I like it because it's ready right away and doesn't run all over the place. Dab a tiny drop in the eye socket and use a toothpick or exacto to transfer the eyes. Then paint over it with clear nail polish to seal the edges.
    Don't worry, catch crappie.
