Default It's been awhile - felt good

I hadn't been on the site much the past couple weeks and fished even less. Today was the first day I got to get out and do some crappie fishing since I came down with an extreme case of the flu. It kicked my butt for two straight weeks and I still haven't got all my energy back but it took awhile to slow me down today, I had slow day and caught one crappie all day while weeding through the herds of drum and pelicans . I got low on energy and had a good headache around 4 and I found my way to the truck . My catch - Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1394161786.951918.jpg

Dad stuck around till dark and managed to round up 18 , so he had bragging rights on the way back home . I took a few for dinner and left him the rest. it sure did feel good being back out on the water today I will say that Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1394161989.225901.jpg

All fish were caught ten ft deep with a 1/32 oz orange painted jig head with chart Midsouth tube and a metal flake crappie nibble.

If one is gonna catch one, one like that is the one to catch. Say that 10 times as fast as you can and see if it helps with the headache. Excellent fish. I've heard pelican taste like chicken...something to consider on your future trips.

Nice fish! Glad you are.feeling better and back at it. I was guessing that you were chasing walleye up the South Fork.

Spring turkey season is my favorite season ... I've gotten more adrenaline rushes hunting down hammering gobblers than I ever have deer hunting. Something about it that's for sure
