Because they mapped the lakes down here during winter drawdown. It's the same for Sardis. The areas we fish in the spring are not mapped because it was dry ground when the did the survey.

Can anybody tell me why my card doesn't have all of the lake mapped out? It doesn't even have the river channel down by south gray sport. Is there a upgrade for it or am I just SOL.

That was not real smart.....
Was just wondering..... If I used Insight Genesis to create a "custom map" of the upper lake areas, would that info just be added to my map card, or would I have to record that data on a separate card to be used in my plotter. I guess my question is, would the data be added to my map of Grenada Lake on my "storebought card", or would I have to treat "greysport" as a separate map, recorded to a separate card??? Not sure if this question makes any sense.....
That is sort of what I thought, so if someone went to the trouble to survey, say, the river channel, they would have to switch map cards to look at the "new" data? Sort of like a map of a different lake? Just wondering how the unit would treat that data, as the GPS data internal to the unit would tell it to use its own internal map of the lake, even if you pulled out the "storebought" card?
Most of the higher end FFs from Hbird have dual card slots so you wouldn't have to swap cards, but might have to switch map datum in the menus. Or, you could just swap to Lowrance and stop fiddling.
