    Default minnowless slow trolling


    Have always used minnows but would be willing to give it a go based on your experience . what is your " go to " bait . road runners , pic-pockets , larger jigs , ect ? this is slow trolling not long lining .thanks in advance .

    All are good at different times, lakes and situations. C

    feelay told me it's against the law to troll without minners in sippi.....

    Feesh is right..............i"ve had success on plain jigs of all kinds through spring. Not much so in the summer.....with minnows being a necessity.

    It'll work, but I think they hold on to a minnow just a little longer.

    I always do good on minners... But guess I need to change. Every time there is a big tourney the winners always seem to be catching the big uns and winning on what emblem is on there shirt. Lol lol

    Shine runner on this sight makes some really good jigs for trolling u may want to check out. I really like them.

    Whether or not I use a minnow depends on the lake and time of year. I have never needed a minnow in Okatibee but have had to have them in Barnett. Generally during the spring all I use is a jig and nibble

    guess the fact that I single-pole fish till hot weather. I will need the minnows . then on to pulling cranks .
