It is all hardwood...other than Hedge Apple, I don't think there's much else that will last as long! Easily 10 yrs or more! Up here, we may get 20 years out of it!

Agreed, at least 15 for both in moderately fertile water. In semi infertile water like in a fresh dug gravel pit perhaps 25...

I know some stakebeds of Hardwood boards drove in that were put in in the 1990's are still solid. but they remain sunmerged. There are stumps submerged since 1942 that are still solid. The totally submerged wood lasts but exposed to air it quickly rots.

Correct. Do keep in mind that using larger limbs requires significantly more weight to properly pin it to the bottom...

Depends on where and type of wood. In lakes with no current and using green wood dense like Persimmon, only enough to hold in place as it sinks without weight. Longer wood sets on bottom in muddy bottom lakes the better it anchors it self into the bottom.
