After Rita hammered the fish. Then Gustavo-Ike. Was expecting bad news after isaac but it really seemed to be the opposite in the marsh. Dularge bass got better and they moved even further south The places that got hurt were Amelia and the lower basin. Two of the places I spend a lot of time. Des allemands reported major kills but the sacalait fishing has been superb this spring there which was extremely exciting

Great catch SS! Have you heard any reports from in the Union Oil canal? I have not ventured in that direction, but heard there was a big Posted sign near the entrance.......I used to do pretty well in there years ago.

Do you know if that sign was at the entrance to Union at Bayou Cheramie or going in to Union from the intercoastal back toward Berwick....

Not sure if we are talking about the same Union Oil canal PS........The one I mentioned is almost directly across the Intracoastal canal from the Orange Grove area in Houma. I heard there was a BIG posted sign on pilings near the entrance from the Intracoastal.

Coon I heard that they run you out if they catch you in there. I've been told that by two different person that got run off.

PS is talking about the Union Canal north of Amelia on the east side of Lake Palourde.
