I ain't got no pics but I caught decent trolling in about 8 ft of water. Fish suspended just off the bottom. I'll be out there tomorrow and all weekend. I'll get some pics of these trips for y'all. Hell if anyone would like to team up an help me find a good limit together I'm all for it.

Appreciate it. It will be Thursday before I get to go back. Maybe I was too deep.
Who knows man. I may have accidentally caught them shallow on a good day. I'll have a better report for y'all tomorrow. Hopefully I can keep the boat still enough lol

I've fished the foot for over 35 years and have always caught fish in february. Don't know what i'm doing wrong fishing same way I have in the past just couldn't find em. I fish from five foot all the way out to thirteen foot, just goin by the guys I talked to and the guys fishing where I was no one was catching. Glad you got on em at least someone caught some. Wind is gonna be tough tomorrow SW @ 15 be careful out there and good luck![]()
WOW I would have never thought to look for them in 6 fow this early. I never got any shallower than 12 fow
Don't worry brother, they weren't there today. Caught a few but not enough to talk about. I must have caught them on a good day or something. On my way home now.
A friend on mine was catching them suspended 18 inches deep in 4 FOW Weds. in one of the local TWRA lakes here in W Tn. All I can figure was they were trying to warm themselves in the bright sunshine we were having then.
That would be my guess. Maybe the shad moved up on the warm sunny day and the specks followed? Who knows. But they sure weren't in the same place I found them earlier in the week. I put in at Kirby. I'll be headed back out to deep water tomorrow. Sure wish we could get a pattern on them.
