Wiskers, how was it today? How deep were they and has the lake cleared up pretty well. I worried some of the storms and winds from last night might have kept the water muddy looking. Do you think Kenlake is open, I heard some of the bays were still iced in a couple of days ago.

Bronson I fished Kentucky and Barkley today, no ice anywhere that I saw. All the water I saw was muddy and around 44 degrees. Didn't do any good on Barkley, first time I've fished the bay I tried and didn't find many spots I cared to fish. Had 10 in an hour and a half on Kentucky, 12-15 fow.

I kept 16 that were really nice fish and probably thru back a few that woulda measured. I found mine in about the same water as pab (12 to 15') but got into a slew of shorties. The good fish didn't have a chance. You'd drop the jig down an WACK, a dink had it! Bet I caught 70 that were between 6 and 8 inches. Smallest fish I've seen in a while.

Most of my fish were high on the brush. 6' to 8' deep on brush that came up high in the water column.

I am wore slap out! That wind beat my butt. Gonna hit'um again tomorrow. Gonna spider rig.

The water where I fished was mid to heavy stained. Saw some 43.5 to 44 degree water late in the day.

Wiskers, Pab1981, you made up my mind for me. Fixing to load the boat and wet a line. A couple of good thumps should improve my attitude, especially since it looks like it's going to turn cold again next weekend. Can't wait!!! Thanks!
