Understood completely. That is why I'm trying to figure out where this other method is not part of sport when you are pulling double duty. I have a couple hours at a time to get out there this week. It doubles my chances to run the "y" method while I'm jig'n. In my mind if it was truly only about sport for most and not bounty, then people wouldn't be spider rigging, but rather one pole at a time just out there for the beauty of it.

Some don't consider spider rigging sporting either but we have to disagree agreeably. My self prefer to fish hand held jig poles and jigs only, but that's me.

I miss yo-yoing, but that was done when I was younger and able to stay up half the night. AND when I had a place to go, where no one else but us were there.

But we sure loaded the freezer that way.........

We never left 'em hanging out, though. I see a ton of 'em left out, never have understood that. But the actual use of 'em is fine with me. It ain't dynamite.

Nothing like a big buck snorting right behind your deer stand!! Nothing like a gobbler (gobbling) 10 yds form your blind and wakes you up!! Nothing like setting around the camp fire and hearing your YO-YO's going off and scrambling to get your boat shoved off the bank before that 2 lb slab flopes off the hook back in the water!!! Feel sorry for folks that have not had this experience once in life!!!
