fish with whatever method makes you happy as long as its legal, we all have our own preferences, just not allot of yoyo talk on this site, most have used them at some point myself included , it should be time for the yoyo bite to start getting good, minnow size doesnt matter much in my opinion , good luck with what ever method you use

In my mind if it was truly only about sport for most and not bounty, then people wouldn't be spider rigging, but rather one pole at a time just out there for the beauty of it.

Beside that, I enjoy lurking here and reading a lot of yall's insight. I appreciate the info some are willing to divulge. There are some real speck slayers in here. Thanks
Some don't consider spider rigging sporting either but we have to disagree agreeably. My self prefer to fish hand held jig poles and jigs only, but that's me.

I miss yo-yoing, but that was done when I was younger and able to stay up half the night. AND when I had a place to go, where no one else but us were there.

But we sure loaded the freezer that way.........

We never left 'em hanging out, though. I see a ton of 'em left out, never have understood that. But the actual use of 'em is fine with me. It ain't dynamite.

Nothing like a big buck snorting right behind your deer stand!! Nothing like a gobbler (gobbling) 10 yds form your blind and wakes you up!! Nothing like setting around the camp fire and hearing your YO-YO's going off and scrambling to get your boat shoved off the bank before that 2 lb slab flopes off the hook back in the water!!! Feel sorry for folks that have not had this experience once in life!!!

Yo yosare fine! Done let the haters get you down. The biggest problem with crappie is OVER POPULATION! A limit is a limit. I haventran any in years but always enjoyed the camp fires and the fellowship. I use BIG MINNOWS! LMBAO

Welcome to the site. I used to love to fish with yoyos but havent in about 4 years. Never hakve tryed it on Conway but Ive seen them hanging. I would say just find some clumps of cypress and start hanging. Not a hater here but just dont leave them during the day because I know for a fact that they will mysteriously disappear and reported to the GW.

    Good luck
