Mike, what makes you think it's a hard job. Put the mount where you want the unit to sit. Connect a hot wire, preferably from your starting motor, with a 3 amp fuse in the line to the red wire, and a ground back to the battery from the black wire. The hardest thing might be feeding the transducer wire under the deck of a fiberglass hull but if you look under the dash if you have such a hull you might already have a pull cable feeding from the back of the boat. If you do use the pull cable be sure you tie another wire to it to pull it back to the console after you pull the transducer cable as you might want to use it again in the future. The transducer screws to the transom or to a transom protector plate which allows you to move the transducer around without making holes in the transom. It's really not hard and I bet you know someone who will help you.
