That's as nice a fire tiger as it gets. My two cents is well done!
Most men spend their entire life fishing, without realizing its not the fish they are after!

I will say that airbrushing these small baits takes a good bit of time for me to do. You have to paint in stages letting the paint dry between each coat. I use spike its new water based paint that has no fumes which is great. Downside is it takes a little bit longer to dry but when painting several baits at once, the first one is usually dry by the time i finish the last one. After you get the paint job how you want it, you either have to spray a clear coat or dip in clear plastic. By the time you do all this i can do a BUNCH of 3 or even 4 color hand pours!

First off you need an airbrush. They range from el cheapos to expensive. I went with an iwatta eclipse and really like it. Id recommend a .35 tip and a dual action on whatever brush you choose.

Then you need a compressor of some sort. They make compressors for airbrushes but i just use the one in my shop. I put water/oil traps in my lines leading to the brush. 35 psi is a good avg pressure to use.

Fisher, an exacto knife and clear transparency film is what i use. You can buy stincels from alot of places too tho.

How much are you thinning your paint
I tried to spray the water based paint through a .3 and .5 tip and didn't get good results
By the time I got it thin enough to spray it wouldn't coat good (that brush was a elchepo airbrush "master")
But I can spray through my paashe with a number 3 tip

Note: this is a great product and I have had great results using it just not with that airbrush

Im not thinning at all. I bought a .5 needle when i ordered my AB just in case i needed it but never have. I think its worth spending the extra bucks to get a decent airbrush. I also like the double action feature.

Me to my paashe is double action
A double action is all I have ever used
You do great work that's for sure
I have sprayed a lot of spike-its solvent base paint and I'm starting to change over a little at a time but I still got a lot of the other left so it will be a while before I get fully swapped
But I sure look forward to being all done

I only use spike-it products for my plastic they are great to work with they are a big company who still looks out for the little guys and there products are outstanding
