Hopefully the ice would have melted. From what I hear, it's 4-5 inches thick at most lakes.

Weather will be much improved and the forecast is for the low 70's, a much needed improvement over the last two weeks. Fishing forecast calling for "Excellent" and I hope we can all get out there and catch a mess. Give us a report on how you do and good luck to all.

All of the boat ramps are frozen on Kaw at the south end of the lake. Haven't been to the north end to check on the ones there.
I won't go out in a boat when the water is this cold, so this isn't a factor for me. I remember a few years back when a couple of fishermen died of hypothermia in waters around 42 degrees after their boat capsized. Risking your life for fish is not something I will do.
Fished Friday, Saturday, and today...........never got even a small nibble. They're still out in deep water, not coming in close to the shoreline. Oh well, I still had fun, it was pretty and there were several other guys fishing next to me and we had fun telling lies.
Hey Stink, were goin Sat. we will give ya a buzz and let you know if we get bit.

My tourney partner has plans to keep Mamma happy tomorrow, so I plan on doing a little trout fishing in the morning. I will post up if I do any good.
